COMMENTS by Andrew Pyrka This surely is the pinnacle of designs. Celtic in design, a cross nonetheless will surely embrace faiths through out the world.. Will the PRESS and TV ignore this one!? Yet another gift with another yet to come before the season ends, that I'm sure. -------------------

SITE REPORT - 2008
From Andrew Potter at the site: As I face looking from the top of the cross, down its axis, the compass reading is 56 degrees (Mag). I took a few more pictures some of which are below. At first I was taken by the number of bent stalks I was finding, but then looked at stems outside of the formation and noticed that these bends were a natural growth feature. Comments by Colin Andrews: The photographs show that the ground detail is no where as impressive as the outline and infilling effect from the air. I also note that photo's #6 & 7 confirm features seen from the aerial photographs, that of an outline scribed into the field before flattening took place. This is troubling, because this has been shown and proven without doubt to be a consistent feature of people making circles. I could not possibly say that this formation is man-made on that fact alone. Just an observation.
