This rare and glorious sight to behold, was a surprise ending to a busy day of property repairs on the farm this evening. My Brother-in law's Shannon and Quinn were helping with some 'serious' work, when Shannon suddenly spotted these guys in our horse pasture. 2nd August 2008.

Yesterday, the 7th August, 2008 I noticed a yellow jackets nest in our back yard. The entrance hole was about one inch across and the
nest was very active with small wasps. This morning I looked out the window and noticed the entry was now a huge hole, about ten inches
to a foot across. It had been dug out, much like one was last year further down the property. On that occasion fresh animal poop lay as
evidence of who had visited. It was the classic black bear poop, full of seeds etc. Our neighbor spotted a black bear two years ago crossing
their field towards us. So, it looks like he still around.
