Today's examples - posted July 22, 2015 - Colin Andrews "A car is crashed by hackers. A drone equip with a gun, fires off live rounds. And almost weekly, government loses our private information to hackers that they demand we give them. A repeat of the nuclear nightmare but this time we are at the mercy of the zero and ones on a keyboard. Welcome to the 21st Century and "Our Fork in the Road'. 1. DRIVING ON PUBLIC ROADS THE CAR WAS HACKED BY SOMEONE TEN MILES AWAY. SUDDENLY THE CAR DOORS UNLOCKED, AIR VENTS BLASTED COLD AIR, WIND SHEALD WIPERS STARTED WORKING WITH SPRAY JETS PUMPING, RADIO BLASTED FULL VOLUME AND PHOTOS OF THE TWO HACKERS APPEARED ON THE SCREEN IN THE CAR - THE HACK HAD BEEN SUCCESFUL AND WAS NOW UNDER EXTERNAL CONTROL - THEN THE ENGINE WAS SHUT OFF, THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THE CAR CRASHED. A YOUNG STUDENT FROM CLINTON, CONNECTICUT, POSTED A YOUTUBE VIDEO SHOWING HIM REMOTELY CONTROLLING HIS DRONE WHICH WAS FITTED OUT WITH A HAND GUN, FIRING LIVE BULLETS AT TARGETS SELECTED BY HIM. WE ARE AGAIN AHEAD OF OURSELVES, THE TECHNOLOGY IS DEPLOYED AHEAD OF OUR ABILITY TO SAFEGUARD AGAINST PROBLEMS FOR OUR FUTURE. JUST AS THE BIRTH OF THE ATOM BOMB LEAD TO A NUCLEAR AGE PRODUCING UNCONTROLLABLE CONTAMINATION AT CHERNOBYL AND FUKASHIMA AND EVERY SINGLE REACTOR ON EARTH IS AWAITING THAT DAY WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT (REMOTELY), STANDBY GENERATORS FAIL AND THE REST WILL BE HISTORY. AS IT IS THERE IS STILL NO WAY OF SAFELY DISPOSING OF THE WASTE BESIDE STUFFING IT IN TIN CANS AND BURYING IT IN CONCRETE, BELOW MOUNTAINS OR UNBELIEVABLY INTO THE SEA. Source. With our identities stolen in the millions, social security numbers along with credit card details for sale on the open market and government departments secret files hacked, we await that dreaded moment when the power grid is shut down and water supplies are turned off or even worse. It could happen tomorrow. We are out of control. WAKE UP HUMANITY, TAKE BACK THE CONTROL. But how? For those who demand we provide personal and private information should have the legal responsibility of safe guarding it. Whether they are corporations or government departments, they should pay a price for the loss, however that is achieved. Source. For those looking for solutions, and find there isn't one, and I've heard some already say that. i.e. They say the best we can do now with our lives controlled by computers, its a matter of day to day changing security coding etc. until once again the hackers break them verbatim: The solution to some problems is to walk away and perhaps as impossible as it appears, its time to turn our backs away from the assumed complience to pass private information over any means that uses a computer. Why are we in such a hurry? We simply don't need to live in a world of speed and volume production when millions need work and the loss of personal interactions are damaging the fabric of the human experience. Yes for me its "Quiet time to reflect and reassess". "Perhaps if we all act as leaders then the leaders will follow.
