Strange and Unexplained

Hi Colin and Quinn, I will tell you this ...When I opened the front door and saw that ice pattern I let out a gasp. My sister came running thinking something was wrong. She too gasped. It looks to me like an ancient city on fire and when I did some research I saw that several civilizations have a similar look. I lived in NYC for 10 years and when I saw that ice pattern I saw the fire at the world trade centers and the rounded curve of lower Manhattan and battery park. My sister and I lost a dear friend (Removed by editor) who worked on the 111th floor of the north tower. The photograph was taken on the 1st January 2003. I too have never seen something like that. We had been cooking in the kitchen so perhaps steam from the pots altered normal crystallization however...it paints a picture of a city with sky scrapers or castles. The blazing light where the trade centers stood is fascinating to me. Also the glass was a typical storm door which had never had anything affixed to it. Notice that the bright fire in the ice is located where tower one and two were located? Very strange. Please do post this photo because it's truly unique and down right bizarre. When I tell you that I visibly stopped in my tracks when i saw this filling an entire glass storm door I kid you not. The photo doesn't do the sight justice. It was luminous and jumped off the glass when i fist took the picture. I didn't even have a good camera so i got what i did. Please do share it with others...truly unique and we'll probably never see anything like it again. Thanks for taking an interest in something that I've puzzled over for quite some time. Lori Colin's Comments: Having been very interested in meteorology and photography for many years, Ive seen and photographed the interesting ability of water condense to freeze into some amazing designs. As we know these usually resemble feathers or straight lines with crystal appendages emanating along the axis of those lines. In fact I took the photograph below just last week during the extra severe cold spell. I don't think Ive ever seen anything like the pattern in the photograph taken by Lori. It does resemble a 3D aerial view of lower Manhattan doesn't it. If anyone can offer an explanation for this I would love to hear it and so would Lori who took it. CONTACT

Sixteen Months After Losing a Close Friend at the World Trade Center, this Unexplained Ice Pattern Appeared on a Connecticut Womans Front Door. Posted January 13, 2014 Colin Andrews
Aerial photograph of Lower Manhatten, New York City after the WTC twin towers had been demolished.
Lori points out that the appearance of flames can be seen top left in the ice design and this is where the twin towers used to be and where they burned for several weeks.
We can see a striking resemblance to the actual curvature of the land as well as the actual sky scrapers. I am told the underground structure of the area under the WTC sites also resemble what appeared here on her door. A striking coincidence perhaps but we look first to explain the freezing process to produce this strange pattern. Meteorologists ideas please CONTACT
Background Yesterday (January 12, 2014) I received an email from my Brother-in-law, Quinn Ramsby. He told me about being shown a very strange photograph by a friend of his, Lori. Lori had lost a close friend on the 111th floor of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. Sixteen months later, on the New Years Day 2003 she was shocked to find an ice pattern on her door which greatly resembled a 3D view of lower Manhatten, with what appeared to be flames coming from the spot where the towers burned. Read correspondence below:

Increased contrast showing features more clearly and the location which seems to show flames - the same location in Lower Manhattan where the twin towers fell and burned.

The attack underway - Unknown copyright.
